Home health aides work under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. Services primarily consist of assistance with personal care. A home health aide may assist patients by giving a bath, providing oral care, foot care, shampooing, shaving, skin care, and changing linens. Under Medicare, a home health aide may stay in the home for a limited time or for a visit only and is authorized to provide personal care only.
Our home health aides are trained to advocate for the client and report to the nurse in charge if they notice the patient’s condition worsening. They also undergo special training in dementia care.
Depending on what your insurance allows, we can also place aides for companionship, errands, and meal preparation. Please give us a call and we will walk you through the available options for you or your loved one.
